This project came alive by streamlining and transforming a small old showroom space into a contemporary jewellery store. The willingness to create the perfect harmony between guest seating area, hospitality, and shelving units in a contemporary environment was vital. The space was tightly enclosed on the lower deck of a 1-floor storey, characterised by its enclosed nature, the space generated a lot of internal heat.
We solved the heating & cooling problem by designing shelves that were able to hide the air-conditioning unit seamlessly and opting for glazing that could open to the outside to create an aerosol balance.
Fine Life Ltd’s client brief called for a meticulous plan to incorporate unit shelves while preserving lower shelves for versatile items, alongside two central-glass showcase drawers. Our design centered around a striking glass center unit with imported London shelves, seamlessly blending architecture and interior design.
Creating an inviting atmosphere, we curated a stylish clientele area adorned with two sleek, red single-unit chairs and a wooden coffee table. This thoughtfully composed space sets the stage for engaging interactions and leaves a lasting impression on visitors.
Introducing glass doors added sophistication, but we also needed to address the challenge of internal heat. We ingeniously resolved this issue by strategically positioning the eastern-facing shelves to accommodate the air-conditioning unit and air vents. This seamless integration ensured optimal climate control while preserving the integrity and functionality of the shelving unit.
Our design approach revolved around the harmonious coexistence of functionality and elegance. The meticulously designed shelving unit optimizes storage capacity while artfully displaying the client’s items. Each shelf is carefully considered to accommodate various objects, achieving a perfect balance between practicality and aesthetic allure.
