This project came alive when a need arose to finish a new home for a retiring executive and his family.
A modern mansion set in a coveted gated community in Accra. Flooded with world-class amenities; an open plan living area, chef’s kitchen, kitchen, gym, and parlour flanking the ground floor. A traditional contemporary pajama lounge welcomes one on the first floor as shrouded by four en-suite bespoke bedrooms.
The bespoke brass chandelier lit up the main living area with complimenting spotlights and stripe lights. The giant heavy marble dining table took center stage facing the open plan corridor with a dark brown wine bar set behind it to entertain guests and store wine. Quality natural tone ceramic tiles from Italy with brown doors from Roca in the United Kingdom created a warm canvas.
The parlour was designed to hold executive meetings and entertain. With a mixed mid-century modern theme and minimal Scandinavian inputs; burnt orange couches as the focal piece; carefully selected décor pieces; artworks at the rear & complimented with organic plants in planters.
“The Woman of Substance” was the focal art piece with a locally sourced console holding all rare décor pieces and awards. The room was given a modern twist with a tri-rectangular chandelier. The area had an eating area that welcomed the juncture of the helical stairs with family pieces and a long wooden table to accommodate any appetite that cannot wait to go downstairs. The rare light brown leather center table with an all-black glass rectangular unit sat on the naturally dyed expensive carpet to complete the royal and cultural theme of the area.
Each bedroom had its own unique theme. From contemporary to dark to contemporary Moroccan velvet antique style. The master bedroom suite had a bespoke European theme with his and her bathrooms, a London-style sitting area, and a world-class walkway flanked by benches for his & her closets.
The contemporary library is designed to be a meeting place for new ideas and visions. The zebra theme consists of bold whites and rich black colours lined with minimalistic silver frames making it a space that accentuates alertness and sharpness. The study area includes a whiteboard, a 2-seater couch, a modern desk, and a flamboyant seating chair. With spotlights throwing down light to create an ambiance of seamlessness and calmness.
